Treaty of Orebro

The Treaties of Örebro〔The treaties were drawn up in French, the ''lingua franca'' of diplomacy at that time. The official English translation drops the diacritics from Örebro and use the name ''Treaty of Orebro''. See ''British and Foreign State Papers'', Volume 1 Part 1 (1812-1814), published by the Great Britain Foreign and Commonwealth Office, 1841. (p. 15 ); and also Hansard, Thomas Curson. ''The Parliamentary Debates from the Year 1803 to the Present Time'',Volume 24, Hansard, 1812. (p.4 )〕 were both signed on the same day, 18 July 1812, in Örebro, Sweden. They formally end the Anglo-Russian War (1807–1812) and the Anglo-Swedish War (1810–1812).
